Configuring bootp Daemon

The bootp daemon (bootpd) uses the file /etc/bootptab to reply to bootp requests made by the DCC
and TPM cards in a system containing spans. The DCC must always be set for bootp because it is
used in conjunction with a TPM, see
1. Insert the following lines in the bootptab file to configure the TPM:
TPM1100AMR-tms3-155:
tftpboot:bf=ramTPM1100.cmp;tp1100-AMR-7-1.ini
:ht=ethernet:ha=00908f076e91:ip=10.7.156.12
dcc34:sm=255.255.0.0:gw=10.7.203.72:td=/
tftpboot:bf=:ht=ethernet:ha=008001D01015:ip=10.7.156.14
• sm - specifies the subnet mask.
• td - (target directory) specifies the directory on the boot server from which to obtain
images and initialization files.
