• bf - specifies the TPM image name (ramTPM800.cmp for the TPM 800 card and
ramTPM1100.cmp for the TPM1100 card) and initialization file (tp800.ini or tp1100.ini).
• ht - sets the hardware address type (ht) and is set to Ethernet.
• ha - specifies the TPM hardware address (ha) and is obtained by taking the TPM serial
number, converting it to hex format, and then using the last four digits of the hardware
address (00908f00XXXX where XXXX is the TPM serial number in hex format).
• hd - (home directory) specifies the directory on the boot server from which to obtain
images and initialization files. The home directory is very similar to the target directory.
• ip - specifies the IP address for the TPM card
2. Insert a line similar to the following sample in the bootptap file to configure the DCC:
dcc34:sm=255.255.0.0:gw=10.7.203.72:td=/
tftpboot:bf=:ht=ethernet:ha=008001D01015:ip=10.7.156.14
• T128 - indicates to the DCC that there is a TPM card present and the address of the TPM
card. This entry must match the IP address in the TPM800 or TPM 1100 entry for the TPM
that is a daughter card to this DCC. Do not omit the double quotation marks (" ") around
the IP address.
• sm - specifies the subnet mask.
• ha - specifies the DCC hardware address obtained from the DCC TIP window.
• ip - specifies the IP address for this DCC to use.
Note:
As you add entries to the bootp table, the bootp daemon (bootpd) reads the entries and does
not need restarting.
