Configuring the DCC Boot ROM

Note:
While the DCC automatically obtains its image from the TMS, the DCC must be configured as a
bootp device to obtain an IP address, see
If the message that shows during boot up is not similar to the following sample, you must change
the DCC network mode. See

START-UP MODE:
Run the ROM Bootloader
HOST DEBUGGER CONNECTION (if activated): Network connection
NETWORK INTERFACE PARAMETERS: TMS is present Use Message Exchange to download image
LAN IP address will be obtained from etc/bootptab file
HARDWARE PARAMETERS:
Serial channels will use a baud rate of 9600
Processor: MPC8260 (Mask0x24), PPC_clk = 198MHz, CPM_clk = 165MHz
SDRAM: 64MB, cycle time 10.0ns @ Cas Latency=3
This board's Ethernet hardware address is 00:80:01:D0:00:17
MXD BOOT LOADER PARAMETERS : The download file will come from the TMS STARTUP DELAY:
After board is reset, start-up code will wait 3 seconds

Configuring the TMS Boot ROM

Verify and modify the boot ROM for each TMS (if necessary). See
Repeat the procedure for each TMS in the system.
Note:
Verify that the TMS is set to obtain its net address through bootp. Check the information
displayed by the debug console when the TMS is powered up or rebooted. The setting is under
the NETWORK INTERFACE PARAMETERS field as shown in the following sample output.
