Initial Setup
Use must perform the initial setup through the diagnostic port using the supplied DB9-RJ48 adapter
and cable. Make the connection through a dumb terminal or a serial communications program such
as HyperTerm.
The required communications parameters are 9600 baud, 8 bit no parity.
Logging in to the Terminal Server for the First Time
1. Use the standard user name InReach with the default password access for the initial login.
2. Enter the command enable.
3. Enter the password at the prompt. The default password is system.
4. To begin the initial network setup, enter the command setup.
5. Enter y at the prompt.
6. When the server prompts for the root password, enter the default password system.
