10. Unplug the DC power cables attached to the MRXX 1000 module (located on the right side
of the unit) and front power switch.
11. Remove the four screws plus the studs securing the MRXX 1000 module.
12. Remove the two 1/4-inch nuts securing the front power supply bracket.
13. Remove the three screws securing the power supply. The power supply (AC power plug and
fan) is located on the right side of the case.
14. Remove the power supply and insert the replacement.
The new power supply can have fewer wires.
15. After replacing the power supply, check the status of the MPS 500 by plugging a laptop into
the TMS before powering up the unit.
16. Place calls into the system and check the status of all spans.

Replacing a Cooling Fan

Cooling fans are hot-swappable. You do not need to shut the MPS system down to replace a fan.
1. Turn off the power to the fan.
2. Remove the fan and replace it with a new unit.
3. Turn the power back on.
