MPS 100 to MPS 500 Upgrade
Note:
If upgrading an analog MPS 100 to a digital MPS 500, the kit also includes a PLI-2000
card and a DCC-3000 card (no echo cancellation) to replace the analog telephony cards
plus appropriate mounting hardware.
a. MPS 500 front panel assembly
b. MRXX-1000 PC board
c. RDTIC-2000 PC board
d. ETH-2000 PC board
e. RPTI-2000 PC board
f. MPS 500 top cover with cable, see
page 215.
g. 128 MB of DRAM, SIMM, 5V
h. 3/8" nylon cable clamp
i. 24" MPS 500 Ethernet cable
j. 28" MPS 500 Ethernet cable
k. 34" MPS 500 Ethernet cable
2. Run the FFT again to ensure the MPS 500 is working properly.
Note:
Stop here to maintain the current MPS Release 1.0 software. Continue with the rest of
the steps to upgrade the software.
3. Upgrade the MPS Release 1.0 software to Release 2.1. For detailed instructions, refer to the
MPS Release 2.1 documentation, Installing MPS Software on the Windows Platform.
4. Upgrade to MPS 3.0. Refer to the MPS 2.1 to 3.0 Upgrade Guide for detailed instructions.
a. Upgrade the Application Processor (AP) operating system to Windows 2003 Server or
Windows XP.
b. Install the MPS Release 3.0 software packages.
c. Port MPS Developer 2.30 applications to MPS Developer 3.00.
5. Upgrade to MPS 3.5. Refer to the MPS 3.0 to MPS 3.5 Upgrade Guide for detailed
instructions.
