Check Customer's Order

Check the customer's order and the shipping packing lists to confirm that all equipment
is included.

Check the system adjuncts for damage and report all damage according to local shipping
instructions.

If any equipment is missing, report the information to your Avaya representative.
Unpack and Inspect the Media Gateways—MCC1

DANGER:
Use lifting precautions. A fully loaded MCC1 Media Gateway weighs as much as 800
pounds (363 kilograms) and may be top heavy. Use caution to avoid injury.
Check the status of the SHOCKWATCH and/or TILTWATCH indicators on the

container. If the container has been shaken or tilted beyond specifications, the indicators
are red, indicating potential damage. Report any damage according to local shipping
instructions.

Take care to avoid injury while cutting and removing the 2 metal bands.

Unpack the media gateway and remove all packing material.
Move the media gateway into its proper position.

Do not adjust the leveling feet at this time.

Use lifting precautions. An empty SCC1 Media Gateway weighs as much as 130
pounds (60 kilograms) and requires two people. Use caution to avoid injury.
