Managing the SPARC-Based Server

This section describes how to use SPARC-based server management tools.

SPARC-Based Processor

Lights Out Management (LOM)

You can manage the SPARC-based server through the Serial Port A/LOM serial connection.
• Use a cable connection to a Windows based server running HyperTerm.
• The console must be configured to run at 9600 baud, 8 bit no parity. (See the
Sun documentation for your server for console configuration.)
• The cable supplied with each system (with Sun #530-2889-03 adapter)
terminates with a DB-25 male and requires the use of a DB-25 to DB-9 male
adapter.
