Configuring the Application Processor (AP) Network

You must modify a number of system files to boot load the TMS hardware.
Caution:
Only qualified Avaya field engineers can make the following modifications to system files. If
done incorrectly, the system does not reboot properly.
1. Configure the /etc/hosts files to provide an IP for each TMS card in the
system.
2. Configure the /etc/netmask files to provide a mask for the MPS 500 Class B
private networks.
3. Configure the /opt/vps/common/etc/tms/sys.cfg file to specify the broadcast IP
address from the AP node to the MPS 500 resource cards.
4. Modify /etc/hostname.xxxx files as shown in the following table

Configuring the System Configuration File (sys.cfg)

Configure the /opt/vps/common/etc/tms/sys.cfg file to support the broadcast IP 10.7.255.255 and
10.8.255.255.
