Before you start testing you must set up
described in Chapters 2 and 3 of this User Guide.
There are two options for testing, Automatic (Auto Test
Mode) and Manual.
Automatic
Auto Test Mode performs a series of tests using selected Hot
Key profiles.
Each Hot Key Profile has a programmable set of parameters
containing the configuration parameters for the line.
Manual
Manual Mode is mainly for more advanced users. This
mode enables you to control and set up individual test steps.
You can access more detailed results in text or graphic
form. Manual Mode is also used for entering details into
AuroraPresto

Auto Tests
Auto Test Mode enables you to perform DMM, TDR, DSL,
ATM, PPP and IP PING tests, and print the results with a
single button press.
Setting up the Auto Test Options
Warning:
When connecting to the line, especially when using
crocodile clips, special care must be taken as high voltages
may be present on the line and there may be a danger of
electrocution.
