Remove and Reinsert (Reseat) Any Card

SUMMARY STEPS
1. Log into a node on the network.
2. When the control card is in standby mode, unlatch both the top and bottom ejectors on the control card.
3. Physically pull the card at least partly out of the slot until the lighted LEDs turn off.
4. Wait 30 seconds. Reinsert the card and close the ejectors.
DETAILED STEPS
Step 1
Log into a node on the network.
Ensure that the control card you want to reseat is in standby mode. A standby card has an amber ACT/SBY (Active/Standby)
LED illuminated.
Step 2
When the control card is in standby mode, unlatch both the top and bottom ejectors on the control card.
Step 3
Physically pull the card at least partly out of the slot until the lighted LEDs turn off.
Step 4
Wait 30 seconds. Reinsert the card and close the ejectors.
The control card requires several minutes to reboot and display the amber standby LED after rebooting. Refer

Before you begin
Warning
Warning: High-performance devices on this card can get hot during operation. To remove the card, hold it
by the faceplate and bottom edge. Allow the card to cool before touching any other part of it or before placing
it in an antistatic bag. Statement 201
Caution
Always use the supplied electrostatic discharge wristband when working with a powered NCS system. Plug
the wristband cable into the ESD jack located on the lower-right edge of the shelf assembly.
SUMMARY STEPS
1. Open the card ejectors.
2. Slide the card halfway out of the slot along the guide rails.
3. Slide the card all the way back into the slot along the guide rails.
4. Close the ejectors.
