MSC1000G User's Guide
• The "ALC1248G", the "ALC" or the "line card" refers to the ALC1248G-51 for ADSL
over POTS (Annex A) line card. They also refer to the ALC1248G-53 for ADSL over
ISDN (Annex B). Differentiation is made where needed.
• The SLC1248G SHDSL Line Card may be referred to as the "SLC1248G", the "SLC" or
the "line card" in this User's Guide.
• The VLC1248G VDSL Line Card may be referred to as the "VLC1248G", the "VLC" or
the "line card" in this User's Guide.

Firmware Naming Conventions
A firmware version includes the model code and release number as shown in the following
example.
Firmware Version: V3.50(LU.1)
"LU" is the model code.
"1" is this firmware's release number. This varies as new firmware is released. Your
firmware's release number may not match what is displayed in this User's Guide.
