Air Temperature Sensor

For 1997-2000 Corvettes, the air filter needs to be drilled to accept the air temperature sending
unit that was removed from the corvette intake tube. On the 2001-2004 Corvettes, the Intake Air
Temperature sensor is integrated into the Mass Air meter, so you can skip this step if you have a
2001-2004 Mass Air Meter. If you are not sure which one you have, the 1997-2000 Mass Air
Meter measures approximately 3.5" in diameter, and the 2001-2004 measures approximately 3.75"
in diameter.
Using a ½" bit drill a hole in the back side of the air filter.
