Remove the tilt spring. To avoid shooting the spring across the room, use a pair of vise grip pliers to
hold the spring while you pry the spring out of position.
After the tilt pins are pressed in at the factory, the tilt head is punched, pressing a small amount of
material over the tilt pin – you will have to punch/press/scrape it back to pull the pin out.
