Before drilling the hole, make sure that the hole will allow enough room for the nut to rest flush
against the inside wall of the tank once you've installed the bulkhead fitting. A good way to
check is to place the nut from the bulkhead fitting against the inside of the tank to determine the
best location and trace the inside diameter of the nut onto the outside of the tank. It will be a
few inches up from the bottom of the tank due to the curvature of the tank.
Mark the center of the circle you traced and drill a hole in the back of the tank.
