Sticky Destinations
The Sticky Destinations option is ONLY val-
id when using a "multi destination mode"
such as "multiple destination mode" or "BPS
mode". Sticky Destinations is used to remem-
ber the currently selected destinations.
When ON, the destinations that are selected
remain active (selected) after the "take" has
been performed. Normally - Off - the desti-
nation selection would be cleared (deselect-
ed) after the "take".
Sticky Level
The Sticky Level option is used to remember
the currently selected levels. When ON, the
levels that are selected remain active (select-
ed) after the "take" has been performed. Nor-
mally - Off - the level selection would be
cleared (deselected) after the "take".
Source swap
If Source swap mode is ON, the display
windows will return to the previously-selected
Source after each Take. This permits flip-flop
switching.

T
three-stage switching
Architecture used for very large switchers as
a means of reducing the number of cros-
spoints needed for a given number of in-
puts/outputs. An array of relatively small
matrixes is arranged in an input stage, an in-
termediate stage, and an output stage. The
path taken by a given signal through these
stages is determined by software and will
vary according to which circuits are already
in use. Unlike
PATH FINDING
discrete switchers, three-stage switchers are
carefully designed so that all inputs are al-
ways available at all outputs; i.e., the switch-
er cannot be blocked.
