To configure the access point to send specific trap messages, select the traps from the list or use the
Enable All Traps button. Click Apply.
Status – Enables or disables SNMP management access and also enables the access point to send
SNMP traps (notifications). (Default: Enabled)
Location – A text string that describes the system location. (Maximum length: 255 characters)
Contact – A text string that describes the system contact. (Maximum length: 255 characters)
Community Name (Read Only) – Defines the SNMP community access string that has read-only
access. Authorized management stations are only able to retrieve MIB objects. (Maximum length: 23
characters, case sensitive; Default: Public)
Community Name (Read/Write) – Defines the SNMP community access string that has read/write
access. Authorized management stations are able to both retrieve and modify MIB objects.
(Maximum length: 23 characters, case sensitive; Default: Private)
Trap Destination IP Address (1 to 4) – Specifies recipients (up to four) of SNMP notifications. Enter
the IP address or the host name. (Host Name: 1 to 255 characters)
Trap Destination Community Name – The community string sent with the notification operation.
(Maximum length: 23 characters; Default: Public)
Trap Configuration – Allows selection of specific SNMP notifications to send. The following are
available:

sysSystemDown - The access point is about to shutdown and reboot.
•
sysSystemUp - The access point is up and running.
