The access point uses a Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE) connection, or tunnel, only
for management traffic between the access point and a remote PPPoE server (typically at an ISP).
Examples of management traffic that may initiated by the access point and carried over a PPPoE
tunnel are RADIUS, Syslog, or DHCP traffic.

Using the CLI

From the CLI configuration mode, use the interface ethernet command to access interface
configuration mode. Use the ip pppoe command to enable PPPoE on the Ethernet interface. Use
the other PPPoE commands shown in the example below to set a user name and password, IP
settings, and other PPPoE parameters as required by the service provider. The pppoe restart
