Foundry IronPoint 200 User Guide
Configuring 802.1x Supplicant Authentication
The access point can also operate in a 802.1x supplicant mode. This enables the access point itself
to be authenticated with a RADIUS server using a configured MD5 user name and password. This
prevents rogue access points from gaining access to the network.
Using the CLI
To configure the access point to operate as a 802.1x supplicant, first use the 802.1x supplicant
user command to set a user name and password for the access point, then use the 802.1x
supplicant command to enable the feature. To display the current settings, use the show
authentication command from the Exec mode (not shown in the following example).
