Command Mode

snmp-server contact
This command sets the system contact string. Use the no form to remove the system contact
information.
Syntax
snmp-server contact <string>
no snmp-server contact
string - String that describes the system contact. (Maximum length: 255 characters)

snmp-server host
This command specifies the recipient of an SNMP notification. Use the no form to remove the
specified host.
Syntax
snmp-server host <1 | 2 | 3 | 4> <host_ip_address | host_name> <community-string>
no snmp-server host
• 1 - First SNMP host.
• 2 - Second SNMP host.
• 3 - Third SNMP host.
• 4 - Fourth SNMP host.
• host_ip_address - IP of the host (the targeted recipient).
• host_name - Name of the host. (Range: 1-255 characters)
• community-string - Password-like community string sent with the notification operation.
Although you can set this string using the snmp-server host command by itself, we
recommend that you define this string using the snmp-server community command prior to
using the snmp-server host command. (Maximum length: 23 characters)

The snmp-server host command is used in conjunction with the snmp-server enable server
command to enable SNMP notifications.
