Applying an EAP Profile to the Fast Ethernet Interface

This operation normally applies to root access points. Beginning in privileged
exec mode, follow these steps to apply an EAP profile to the Fast Ethernet
interface:
1. Enter the global configuration mode.
configure terminal
2. Enter the interface configuration mode for the access point's Fast Ethernet
port.
interface fastethernet 0
You can also use interface fa0 to enter the fast Ethernet configuration
mode.
3. Enter the profile preconfigured profile name.
dot1x eap profile profile
4. Exit the interface configuration mode.

Applying an EAP Profile to an Uplink SSID

This operation typically applies to repeater access points. Beginning in the
privileged exec mode, follow these steps to apply an EAP profile to the uplink
SSID.
1. Enter the global configuration mode.
configure terminal
2. Enter interface configuration mode for the radio interface.
interface dot11radio {0 | 1}
• The 2.4 GHz radio and the 2.4 GHz 802.11n radio is 0.
• The 5 GHz radio and the 5 GHz 802.11n radio is 1.
3. Assign the uplink SSID to the radio interface.
ssid ssid
4. Return to the configure terminal mode.
exit
5. Enter the profile preconfigured profile name.
eap profile profile
6. Return to the privileged EXEC mode.
end
7. (Optional) Save your entries in the configuration file.
