"C23" TO SENSOR CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION

DETECTED CONDITION
Output voltage low or high
(0.40
Sensor voltage < 4.60 V)
(without the above range.)
INSPECTION
Step 1
1) Remove the front meter panel. (#7-13)
2) Turn the ignition switch OFF.
3) Check the TO sensor coupler for loose or poor contacts.
If OK, then measure the TO sensor resistance.
4) Disconnect the TO sensor coupler.
5) Measure the resistance between Red wire and B/Br wire
terminals.
$ TO sensor resistance: 19.1 – 19.7 kΩ Ω Ω Ω (Red – B/Br)
! 09900-25008: Multi circuit tester set
% Tester knob indication: Resistance (Ω Ω Ω Ω )
Is the resistance OK?
YES
Go to Step 2
NO
Replace the TO sensor with a new one.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
• TO sensor circuit open or short.
• TO sensor malfunction.
• ECM malfunction.
