"C12" CKP SENSOR CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION

DETECTED CONDITION
No CKP sensor signal for more than 2 seconds after
receiving the starter signal.
INSPECTION
Step1
1) Remove the front box. (#7-14)
2) Turn the ignition switch OFF.
3) Check the CKP sensor coupler 1 for loose or poor contacts.
If OK, then measure the CKP sensor resistance.
4) Disconnect the CKP sensor coupler 1 and measure the
resistance.
$ CKP sensor resistance: 180 – 280 Ω Ω Ω Ω
5) If OK, then check the continuity between each terminal and
ground.
$ CKP sensor continuity: ∞ Ω
! 09900-25008: Multi circuit tester set
% Tester knob indication: Resistance (Ω Ω Ω Ω )
Are the resistance and continuity OK?
YES
Go to step 2.
NO
Replace the CKP sensor with a new one.
• Metal particles or foreign materiel being attached
• CKP sensor circuit open or short.
• CKP sensor malfunction.
• ECM malfunction.
(Blue – Green)

POSSIBLE CAUSE
on the CKP sensor and rotor tip.
