The Origin200 AUX port is an 8-pin mini-DIN connector that uses the standard RS-232
serial protocol. The next sections describe cables you can use to connect a terminal or
modem to the AUX port. Table B-7 summarizes marketing codes for ordering Silicon
Graphics cables described in this section.

AUX Port Terminal Cable

The cable described in this section connects the Origin200 AUX port to a terminal. Note
that this cable is identical to the one used to attach a terminal to a Silicon Graphics Indy,

workstation and CHALLENGE S server. The cable is available as
Silicon Graphics part number 018-8114-001.
