Troubleshooting Flowchart - El Indicator Light Does Not Come On

is tirst turned ON {lll. llt should
come on tor about two s€conds.)
Check the Service Check Connec-
tor:
Make sure the special tool {SCS
S e r v i c e C o n n e c t o r l i s n o t c o n
nected to the service check con-
nector,

Service Connectorl connected
t o t h e s e r v i c e c h e c k c o n n e c -
t o r ?
Disconnect the sp€cial tool f]om
the seruice chcck connoclor and
aecheck.
Check the E Indicalor Light:
Shift to E posjtion.
Check tor loose te.minal fit in the
PCM connectors, lf nocessary,
substitute a known-good PCM
and aecheck.
Does the E indicator light
Check the Ground Circuit:
1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2 . D i s c o n n e c t t h e B ( 2 5 P ) c o n
nector from the PCM.
3. Check tor continuity between
t h e 8 2 0 t e r m i n a l a n d b o d y
ground, and between the 822
terminal and body ground.

ls there continuity?
Measure Power Supply Circuit
Voltage:
1. Turn the ignitlon switch ON (ll).
2. Measure the voltage between
t e r m i n a l s B l a n d 8 2 2 a n d
b e t w e e n t e r m i n a l s B 9 a n d
820.
Ropair op€n or short in tho wire
b€tween the Bl and/or B!| tarmi-
nds and the PGM-FI main .ohy,
and between tho PGM-FI main
relay and the under-hood fuso/
r€lav box.
