Prv the handle rod ol the joint using diagonal cut-
t e r s ; t a k e c a r e n o t t o b e n d t h e r o d R e m o v e t h e
hatch handle.
BUSHING
Replace.

these items:

the handle rod is connected properly
Before installing the hatch trim panel, make sure
the hatch opens ProPerlY.

Remove the hatch trim panel (see page 20-63)'
Remove the hatch latch screws

Disconnect the lock rod, the handle rod, the lock
cylinder rod. and the connector, then remove the
hatch latch.
