Solenoid Valve Assembly and
Recheck:
1 . R e p l a c e t h e l o c k - u p c o n t r o l
solenoid valve A/B assembly
(see page 14-105).
2. Turn the ignition switch OFF
and reset the PCM by remov
ing the EACK UP (7.5 A) fuse
in the underhood {use/relay
box for more than 10 seconds.
3. Using the scan tool, check to
be sure that the engine cool-
a n t t e m p e r a t u r e i s i n 1 7 6 ' F
(80'C) and above.
4 . D r i v e t h e v e h i c l e a t 5 5 m p h
(88 km/h) constantly for more
than one minute,
5. Recheck for code P0740 {40).
Does the OBD ll scan tool
indicate code P0740 (40)?
