You can configure the destination disk structure only if the image is restored in one of the following
modes:
Automatic Imaging mode

To configure the disk structure of the destination device, do the following before restoring a WIM
image:
1 Manually create an XML file with the filename as
following content:

Ensure to follow these guidelines as you work with the XML file:
You can specify only the following disk settings:
Partition Number - The number of partitions that you can create per hard disk is depended upon
number of partitions supported by Windows
Type - Valid values are 1, 2, 4, and 8. Use 1 for Primary partition, 2 for Extended partition, 4 for
Logical partition, and 8 for Linux Swap partition.
Size - Size of the partition. The value must be specified in MB.
Offset - The starting position of the partition
Active - Valid values are 1 and 0 (zero). 1 indicates that the partition is active and 0 indicates
that the partition is not an active partition. A disk can have only one active partition.
FSType - File system type. Valid values are NTFS, FAT12, FAT16, and FAT32.
