Changing the Poll List

To change the poll list by adding network address (3 in
this example) to the list:

Activ Delet

If Active (Activ) is selected from the Change Poll List
menu, use the F1 and F2 keys to specify the tributary
address, then enter the address.
If Delete (Delet) is selected from the Change Poll List
menu, use the F1 and F2 keys to specify the tributary
address and press F3 (Enter). The tributary DSU
associated with the address will be removed from the
polling list.

Press the F3 key once.

The address is added to the polling list.

Acquiring the Poll List

The Acquire Poll List (Acq) command can be used to
automatically generate a poll list. The DSU polls all valid
addresses. The addresses that respond are added to the
poll list
To acquire the poll list:

Abort

Abort allows you to stop the acquire process and keep
the Poll List as it has been acquired up to this point. When
the process is completed, Abort changes to Command
Complete.

All tributary addresses have been acquired.

Directory

The DSU's dial backup Directory (Dir) can store up to
10 dial strings so the DBM can call other DBMs or
modems. Each entry consists of a telephone number and
may include other information, such as a callback
directory pointer and a comment field.
