DSU Troubleshooting
Diagnostic testing can be performed to troubleshoot
and correct out-of-service, no signal, streaming terminal,
and out-of-frame conditions. Figures G-1 through G-4 are
flowcharts for troubleshooting each of these conditions.
When DSU error messages appear, refer to the
appropriate error messages listed in
the problem.

DBM Troubleshooting
Digital circuits are generally highly reliable and DBMs
may be idle for long periods. To ensure that dial backup
capability is available when needed, enabling the
configuration option Dial Tone (Dial Tone Test) as
described in Table 6-5, DBM Configuration
recommended.
