2.5 Main Modes
The modem will always be in one of the two main states:
ge COMMAND MODE ©
(ACCEPTS COMMANDS FROM DTE)
= MODEM MODE.
(CONNECTED TO LINE)
e Modem ready to receive commands.
* All data from DTE will be interpreted
as commands
