Second Method:
1. Flush with napti conforming to specification TT-N-9.
2. Blow dean and dry off all soent with waer pumped ir.
3. Flush with
iad-icing fluid conformmg to specification MIL-F-566 or anhydrous ethyl alcohol.
4. Rime thoroughly with fh
water.
. Dry thoroughly with a scren
of dean, dried, water pumped air or by heaing atr
rempenrure of 250 to 300 * F for a miable period
6. The solenrt may be reused provided they do nor become exceively contaminated with oil
This condition shll be determined as follows:
(a) Evaponte 100 milliliten of the liquid to dryness in a weighed glas dish. vaporation may
be accomplished by beting at 200 * F for one-half hour.
(b) After evporation, cool and weigh the residue. The solvent shall not be used if the residue
exceeds 100 milligrams in weight.
c.
Third Method:
1. Plbsh with hot inhibited alkaline deaner until free from oil ad grease
2. Rinse thoroughly with fresh wraer.
3. Dry thoroughly with a

dried, wter
pumped air or by hearing a a
temperaure of 250 to 300 * F for a uimble period.
2-63. Remoal of Oxyge Cylinder and Rgulator. The cylinder and regulator are located on the left side
of the fuselage aft of the bagage area a station 157.

Remove the ccess pane from the rear wall of the baggage comparment o gain access to the
cylinder and regulator. On airplane with rial numbers 2-4300 and up which have the 5th and 6th sesa
installed, it is necessary to remove the seats and then the back access pane.
CAUTION
Be rare the valve on the cylinder is closed before disconnecting any
lines from the regulator.
b. Disconnect the control cable from the regulator.
c.
Disconnect the lines from the regulator.
d
Loosen and separate the damps holding the cylinder in place.
e
The cylinder can be removed by fast sliding it back to remove the safety cable.
2-64. lmnsulaion of Oxygen Cylinder and Regulator.
a
With the regulator attached co the cylinder, place it into the airplane through the access opening
with the regulator facing forward. Be careful not to bump the regulator and cylinder during installation.
b. Install the safety cable around the cylinder neck and position the cylinder so the regulator aligns
with the conrol cable and presure lines.
c.
Secure the cylinder in place by connecting and tightening the two dmps.
d. Connect the pressure lines and conrol cable to the regulator.
e.
Install the access panel on rear wall of baggage area.
