8-16. Sevicng Fuel Valve (Aibonre Medhaims).
(PA-24-00) The fuel valve (Figure 8-13 on the
PA-24-400 is a combination fuel sriner and selector vlve. Servicing the fuel suainer will be descnbed in
Paragraph 8-22.
a. When it is believed that fuel is leaking through the valve, dirt may be lodged in a valve port
between check ball and sat. The fuel ystem should be flushed (refer to Paragraph 8-18).
8-17. Indllion Of Fuel Selecto Valve. Before installing the selector valve acerain that fittings are
properly positoned and insalled. Do not over tighten tapered fittings u this may damage the valve
housing. Valves with sright thread type fittngs with O-ring sals, ghten locknut so that the O-rng seas
on the non-threaded poron of the fitting.

Attch the selector valve to its mounting bracket and the bracket and valve to the ircaft.
b. Atach the fuel lines to the valve fitting. Add enough fuel to each cell to determine that there is no
fuel leaks.
