4. Remove the coter pin cable guard from the cable pulley by reaching through the access hole
in ach
ing at sation 115.50.
5. Remove the cotter pin cable guard from the left and right pulleys of the blance cable at
fuelage station 135.0.
6.
If an AutoPilot roll ro is atuched to the balance cable, remov e the ot head scre
from
the bridle cable clamps at the center of the fuselage. Remove the safety sleeves inboard of each clamp.
7. Draw the cable through the fuselage and each wing. Use caution when drawing the end of the
cable through the rub block a win staion 78.0.

(Refer to Figure 5-2.)
a.
Installtion of the ailero balance cable may be accomplished by the following procedure:
1. Draw the balance able (4) into each wing from the center of the fuselge.
2.
With the cable positioned on both the left and right pulleys in the fuselage at staion 135.0,
insall the cotter pin cable guards.
3. Attuch the ends of the cable to the forward end of the bellcrnk in eah wing by asembling
turbucdes
and/or securing with clevis bolt, washer, nut and cotter pin Do not set able tension at this
time.
NOTE
Do not tightm turubuckle fork ends on bellcrank so cight that the end
cannot ro ae.
4.
By reaching through the ccess opening in each wing at sttion
11.5, position the cable
around the upper pulley of the cluser and if the primary conrol cable is installed, insall the cotter pin
cable guard.
5.
If an autopilot roll servo is pat of the irplane's equipment, ttach the bridle cable to the
balnce able withc e use of the installation instructions given in Elecronics Section.
b. Installation of the left and/or right primary conrol cables (3 and 6) that lad from the fuselage
into the wings may be accomplished by the following procedure:
1. Draw the cable through the wing into the fuselage.
2.
Install the cable pulley in the fuselage, forward of the rear spar support bulkhead at staion
135.0. For the left pulley, position the cable and pulley and secure with bol, washer and nut. For the right
pulley, position the cable and pulley in the bracket and scure pulley with bolt, wuher and nutr and then
attach the bracke assembly to the bottom skin of the fuselage and spar support bulkhead using screws.
Ascertain that cotter pin cable gurds

If the right cable (6) was removed, position the cable and install the pulley in the bracket
located on the butt aft end of the wing by using bolt, washer and nut.
4. Through the access hole in the wing at suation 115.5, position the cable on the lower pulley of
the duster and instll the cotter pin cable guard.
5.
Attach the cable to the aft end of the cable bellcank by assembling rurnbuckle and/or
securing with cevis bol, washer, nut and cotter pin.
NOTE
Do not tighten turnbuckle fork ends on the bellcrank so tight that the
end cannot roae.
