7A-61. Adjusnment Of Throrde And Mixture Controls (Fuel Injector). The throttle and mixture controls
are adjusted so that when the throttle arm on the injector is rotated forward against is full throttle stop
and the mixture arm is rotated forward against ts full rich stop, their respective cockpit control should be
.062 of an inch in from their full forward stops.
a. At the injecror, disconnect the throttle and/or mixture control cable end from
ins control arm.
b. Loosen the am nut securing the cable end.
c. Adjust the linkage by roating the cable end to obtain the .062 of an inch spnng back of the
cockpit control lever when the throttle or mixture control arm conncca its stop.
d. Reconnecr the cable end to its control arm and secure jam nut.
e. Pull the throttle and mixture controls in the cockpit full aft to ascertain that the injector idle
screw conacts irs
COD
and the mixture control arm contacts its lean positon.
7A-62. Adjustment Of Idle Speed And Mixture. (Fuel Injector)
a. Star the engine and warm up in the usual manner until oil and cylinder head temperaures
are
normul.
b. Check magnetos. If the "mag-drop" is normal, proceed with idle adjustment.
c. Close the throttle
cto idle. If the RPM changes appreciably after making the idle mixture
adjustment dunng the succeeding steps. readjust the idle speed to the desired RPM
NOTE
The idle mixture must be adjusted with the fuel boost pump "ON".
