7A-35. Induction Sytem Air Filter. (PA-24-250, Serial Nos. 24-103 to 24-1476 incl.)
7A-36. Removal Of Air Filtr.

Loosen the four quarer rurn sruds atrching the filrr to the air box and remove filter from the
bottom cowl.
7A-37. Servic Insrucions.
This type of filter mus be inspected daily for dirt accumulation and proper
oiling. When it is found necessary to clean the fiter (daily when operatng n dusty condiions), or if filter
requres oiling, the following procedure should be accomplihed.
a. Thoroughly wash the filter in petoleum solvent. Make certain all dir is removed from the filter
and that the filter is in a serviceable conditon.
b. Dry the filter at room temperaure, making certain t is thoroughly dry before proceeding with the
next step. If the filter is nor dry, the solvent will prevent the oil from adhering to the small surfaces of the
filter and thereby decrease its efficiency.
c.
Immere the filter in a light weight grade of oil for a period of five mnutes.
d. After removal of the filter from the oil, allow to dram thoroughly before installing in the airplane.
7A-38. Intullion Of Air Filter.
a. Position the ir filter in the air scoop on the bottom cowl and secure it with four studs to the air
box.

244784 to 24-4803 ncl.)
7A-40. Removal Of Air Filter.
a. Release tue quarter urn fastenen autaching the air scoop to the bottom cowl.
b. Remove ur filter from the air box by loosening the two ataching studs.
7A-41. Service Insrrucon.
a. The filter should be cleaned daily when operating in dusty conditions and if any holes or teurs are
noticed, the filter should be replaced immediately

Remove the filter element and shake off loose dirt by apping on a hard surface, being careful not
to damage or crease the sealng ends.
CAUTION
Never wash the filter element in any liquid or soak in oil. Never attempt
to blow off din with compressed air.
