Trouble Caue Remedy
Failure of engine to
idle properly.
Incorrect idle adjusamen
Insufficient fuel pressure.
Clogged injector nozles.
Leak in induction sysem.
Low cylinder compression.
Fzulty ignition system.
Adlust throttle stop co obuin
correct idle.
Check fuel strainer and pump
presure adjustment.
Remove and flush with acetone.
Blow through orifice with
compressed air- 100 psi.
Tighten all connections in
the induction svstm. Re-
place any defective pans.
Check condir;nn of piston
rings and
. e
sears.
Check entire ignition system.
Mixture too rich; indicated
by sluggish engine oper-
ation, red exhaust flame
c night. Extreme cases
indicated by black smoke
from exhaust.
Mixture too lean; indicated
by overheating or back-
firing.
Leaky nozzle.
Clogged injector nozzles.
Dirt in inler screen.
Dirt in "T" fittg.
Fuel supply pressure
excessively high.
Injector may need recali-
branon by authorzed
personnel.
Check fuel supply. Check
fuel lines for obstructons
or resrictions.
Remove nozzle and blow iroo
it. Air escaping through
the nozzle valve indicates
leaking. Replace nozzle.
Remove and flush with acetone.
Blow through orifice with
compressed air - 100 psi.
Remove screen and flush with
acetone. Blow with
compressed air.
Remove "T" fitting at dism-
buror. clean in acetone.
Blow through onfice with
compressed air - 100 psi.
Check fuel pump pressure
