6-34. Adjusmont Of Main Ger Side Brace Links. (Refer to Figure 6-10.) Disconnect the side brace link
from the main ger sRrut houing. and adjust to mainain a distance of 6.125 inches between the center of
the pivot bolt which rtaches the upper drag link to the lower drag link and the center of the rod end
bearing.
NOTE
Do not check adjustment using head of rod end bolt insalled in scrut as
bolt sets at an angle to the center line of the lower drag link.

6-35. Alignment Of Main Landing Ger.

Place a sitight edge no less than twelve feet long across the front of both main landing gea
wheels. Burt the straight edge agins the tire at the hub level of the landing gear wheels. Devise a support.
or use a box. co hold the straight edge in this position.
b. Set a square against the straight edge and check to see if iO outstanding leg bears on the front and
rear sides of the main landing gear tire. (Refer to Figure 6-11.) If it touches both outboard sides of the ure,
the landing gear is correctly aligned. The toe-in for the man landing gear wheels is 0 degrees.
NOTE
A carpenter's square. because of its especially long legs. i recommended
for checking main landing gear wheel alignment.
