On PA-24-180 and PA-24-250 airplanes, insall the wheel as follows (Refer to Figure 6-25):
1. The wheel may be insulled by flexng the fork enough to allow for instllation of wheel and
spacer tubes.
2. Inserr the axle tube, fork caps and tie bolt.
3. Adjust tie bolt nut to allow the wheel to run freely yet nor fft loose on the axle.

On PA-24-260 and PA-24-00 airplanes. nstall the wheel as follows (Refer to Figure 6-26):
1. Slide the wheel on the ule.
2. Tighten the axle nut to allow the wheel to rum freely yet not fit loose on the axle.

Safety the axle nut and install dust cover.
g. Insall the brake assembly by posiioning the brake lining back plates between the wheel and brake
disc and the brake cylinder on the torque plate. Insert the spacer block and shun between the back plates
and cylinder, and install the four bolts to secure the assembly. If the brake line was disconnected, reconnect
the line and bleed the brakes. (Refer to paragraph 6-88.)

To remove the wheel assembly, remove the snap (12) secunng the dust cover (11), remove the dust
cover

Remove the corer pin and axle nut. The wheel may be removed from the axle with the brake disc
remainine with the brake assembly.
