7C-34. Alternte Air Door. The alternate air door, located in the induction system on the front side of
the air plenum. between the aur filter and the trbocharger units, is to provide a source of air should there
be an ur stoppage through the filter system. The following should be checked dunng inspecuon:
a.
Door seils are tght and hinges are secure.
b. Actuate the door to determine that it is nor sticking or binding.
c. Check cockpit conttol cable for free ravei.
d
Check rhat when the control knob in the cockpit is full in. the cable is adjusted to allow
approximately one-eighth inch between the acuaing arm roller and the door when fully closed.
e. Check that the spnng tension of the door is tight enough to allow the door to remain closed at full
engine rpm. yet should there be an air stoppage through the filter
it
will be drawn open.

7C-29. Insmlldoon Of Pra Relief Valve.
a. Clean mounting flages.
b. Insall relief vhlve with "0" ring gket on compressor dishrge box and secure with bolts.
c.
Install bottom cowl. (Refer to pragnrph 7C-7.)
7C-30. Induction Ai Filmr.
7C-3 1. Removal Of Air Filr.
a. Loosen the right ide cowl fauener and lift cowl.
b. Loosen air box door fasceners and open door.
c. Pull air filter out of box.
7C-32. ' rice Insrucuons.
a. tlow filter ouc with compressed air from the gasket side or wash in warm water and mild
detergent.
b. Dry thoroughly.
c. When operating in dusty conditions inspect filter daily.

Of Air Filter.
a. With the gasket side of the filter down, slide it into the air box.
b. Ascertain that the retaining springs are holding the filter securely.
c. Close air box door and secure.
d. Close cowl and fasten.
