Quantum DXi6900 G1 User's Guide
This section describes how to remove and replace a processor and
heatsink in the DXi6900 G1 Node.
Caution: Use appropriate ESD precautions, including the use of a
grounding strap, when performing this procedure.
Removing and replacing the processor and heatsink in the Node
includes the following steps:

Identifying a Failed Processor and Heatsink
The DXi6900 G1 Node contains two processors (CPUs), and each is
covered by a heatsink to dissipate heat.
To identify a failed processor and heatsink:
1 Access the remote management console (see
Management
on page 25).
2 Navigate to the Status > Hardware > Details > System Board
page.
