9 In the remote management console, delete any administrative alerts
and close any service tickets.
Note: Installation of new Fibre Channel cards will change the world
wide name (WWN). Review and modify SAN zoning and tape
library host mappings as needed.
This section describes how to remove and replace an expansion card in
expansion card riser 2 or riser 3. The following cards are located in riser
2 or riser 3 (see
Figure
• Expansion Card Riser 2
• Slot 4 (top) - Dual port 10 GBase-T card (Intel X520 DA2)
• Slot 5 (bottom) - Quad port 6 Gb SAS card (LSI 9201-16E)
• Expansion Card Riser 3
• Slot 6 (top) - Quad port 6 Gb SAS card (LSI 9201-16E)
• Slot 7 (bottom) - Quad port 8 Gb Fibre Channel card (Qlogic
QLE2564) or Dual port 16 Gb Fibre Chanel card (Qlogic
QLE2662)
Caution: Use appropriate ESD precautions, including the use of a
grounding strap, when performing this procedure.
Removing and replacing an expansion card in expansion card riser 2 or
riser 3 includes the following steps:
