Caution: To enable encryption on the new PERC H710 controller, you
will need the passphrase used to enable Data-at-Rest
Encryption on the DXi6900 G1. The customer should have
recorded this passphrase. In addition, the customer should
have created a Data-at-Rest Recovery File. The passphrase is
contained in the recovery file. Note that accessing the
recovery file requires the password used at the time the file
was created.

Encryption status on the Home page (see
• If the status is Enabled, you must enable the encryption keys on
the PERC H710 controller. Obtain the Data-at-Rest Encryption
passphrase from the customer, and continue with this
procedure.
• If the status is Disabled, you do not need to enable the
encryption keys on the PERC H710 controller. Skip the rest of
this procedure.
