• Backup Disk Security Keys - (Required Data-at-Rest license) Creates
a Data-at-Rest Recovery File that contains the encryption keys and
passphrase.
• Enable Disk Security - (Required Data-at-Rest license) Enables Data-
at-Rest Encryption using a supplied passphrase.
The Serial Number Menu allows you to configure the system serial
number. This is typically the next menu option to execute after installing
the Base Software. The serial numbers must be set prior to installing the
Application Software. The DXi6900 G1 system contains three key serial
numbers:
• System serial number - The system serial number is in the format
SSYYWWPPPXXXXX where:
• SS - Site code (AV for Avnet in Chandler, AZ)
• YY - Build year code; two numeric characters (15 for 2015)
• WW - Build week code; two numeric characters (01–53)
• PPP - Product family; three alpha characters (BVW for DXi6900
G1)
• XXXXX - Sequential number; five numeric characters (00001
through 99999)
• Node serial number - The Node serial number is identical to the
Dell Service tag and is automatically set.
• OUI number - The OUI number is used for creating unique FC port
names. Valid range is a number 200000 through 203FFF.
To access the Serial Number Menu from the Service Menu:
1 Type the option for Serial Numbers and press <Enter>.
