a Access the Service Menu (see

b Navigate to Serial Numbers > Set System Serial Number.

8 If the DXi6900 G1 is configured for NAS, OST, VTL, or PTT, perform
the following actions:
• NAS and OST - Disjoin and rejoin the Active Directory Domain
or Workgroup on the Configuration > NAS > Windows
Domain page in the remote management console.
• VTL and PTT - Restart the host systems.

and close any service tickets.

Before beginning the replacement procedure, make sure that you have
the required replacement kit. The appropriate replacement Node chassis
will be provided by Quantum Customer Support (see

• Replacement Node chassis kit provided by Quantum Customer
Support.
• Masking tape and felt tip marker (for temporarily labeling hard
drives)
• ESD grounding wrist strap (included in the replacement kit)
