7 Replacing the CCD Unit

Disconnect the mains supply cable.

Remove the platen.

Remove the CCD cover (1).

Remove the screw that holds the document-size sensor (2), and move the sen-

sor away from the CCD unit.
Remove the retaining spring (3) that holds the CCD unit (1 screw). Disconnect
5
the connector (4). Release the flat cable (5), and remove the CCD unit.
