mode. Are there white
lines in the resulting
image?
2 Is there dirt or foreign
matter on the transfer
roller, or on the static
eliminator?
3 Is there an even coating
of toner on the develop-
ing roller?
4 Are there scratches on
the fixing film, in the
peripheral direction.
5 Is there dirt or foreign
matter in the entry to the
fuser?
6 Are there scratches on
the OPC, in the periph-
eral direction.
7 Replace the aperture
glass.
8 Clean the exposure refer-
ence strip and all the mir-
rors.
Is the problem solved?
Y/N Action
Yes Go to step 7.
Yes Clean the transfer roller,
or the static eliminator. If
the problem is still not
solved, replace the trans-
fer unit, or the static
eliminator.
No Check the edge of the
doctor blade.
If there is no toner in the
developing assembly,
refer to ' The ADD
