The clutch (CL1) de-energises. The feeding belt is slowly rotated coun-
ter-clockwise, eliminating the overlap and adjusting the gap between the doc-
uments.
Feeding

When the gap between the two documents has been adjusted to a specific val-
ue, the clutch (CL1) is energised. The difference in speed between the revers-
ing roller and the feeding belt is eliminated, and the two documents are carried
onto the platen.
Returning the first document

After copying, the feeding belt is rotated clockwise slowly. The reversing roller
pulls in the first document for return to the document tray.
