Automatic Density Adjustment

1 Execute the automatic density
adjustment.
Execute 'PD', '200PWM', and

'600PWM'.

Press 'Reset 'once, to end service
mode.
'$' will be indicated in the upper
I
left corner of the screen.
3 Holding the feeder or the platen
cover at about 45°, make two A4
copies (solid black).
Press '*' twice.

5 Press 'FUNCTION' (* 4 *) on
the screen to highlight. Then,
press 'OK'.
6 Press to turn pages to the
PD Density Automatic Adjust-
ment screen.
7 Close the front cover as far as
possible, and press 'PD PRINT'
on the screen, causing it to high-
light. Then, press the copy but-
ton.
The copier will generate a test
I
pattern. (This will be used later.)
8 Place a blank white sheet of copy
paper (A4/LTR or larger; not for
colour copiers; but the whitest of
all used by the user) on the platen
glass. Then, close the feeder or
the platen cover.
9 Press 'WHITE MEASURE' on
the screen to highlight. Then,
press 'OK'.
