Checks
Is the scanner drive cable
positioned correctly?
Inspect the scanner rail for
dirt or obstructions. Check
that the scanner moves
smoothly.
Check the wiring/connection
from the connector J116 on
the DC controller PBA to the
scanner motor. Is it normal?
Replace the scanner motor. Is
the problem solved?
Checks
Connect the + to J107-A11
and the – to J107-A12 on the
DC control PBA. Does the
meter reading change from
0V to approximately 24 V
when the copy button is
pressed?
Yes/No Action
No Reposition the cable.
No Check the surface of the
scanner rail for foreign
matter or an object that
comes into contact with
the scanner.
No Correct it.
Yes End .
No Replace the DC control
